The sad thing is that both types of agents you describe above will get the same commission from the insurance company.  Even though the customer doesn&#039;t pay the agent directly, they are essentially paying the agent&#039;s commission with their premiums.  Do you want somebody who has the ability to type your age, gender, birthday, etc into a computer and look for the lowest number for your money or do you want somebody who has the connections and know-how to get you the protection that you need as cheaply and with as little hassle as possible?    

Do you have any other tips for sniffing out a quality agent vs. &quot;B&amp;Ser&quot;?</description>
