I work and write for Garden State Life Insurance. I agree with everything in your article. Someone with bipolar or any special health condition should seek the help of a trusted agent or financial advisor that knows the system and knows which companies to work with.

You are also correct in the fact that our simplified issue process would not accept a person with a bipolar condition. The simplified and streamlined process does not allow for the detail that would be required to distinguish between the various degrees of bipolar and other diseases as well. The process usually only allows for black or white decisions. I agree that the situation you mention concerning your client requires the indiviual attention that a trusted and well informed agent can provide.

I looked at the page that you linked to where our ad showed. That is a content based ad that is shown through our advertising with Google. Google scans the page and decides whether to show our ad there or not. Obviously being a life insurance company, they scanned the page and saw that the content was life insurance specific and showed our ad. We do not advertise on the keyword "bipolar" or "bipolar life insurance" but we do advertise on keywords like "life insurance", "buy life insurance", and "no exam life insurance".

Having read your article, I wanted to make sure that we didn't show up in the actual search rankings on Google for "bipolar life insurance". If you run a search on Google you will notice that we do not advertise on that keyword.

Thanks for the heads up, sorry for the misunderstanding, and keep up the great work.
