A commentless blog!! What’s with that?

I was checking out some blogs on life insurance this afternoon, and being the kind of guy I am I wanted to point out where a few of them had fallen short of telling the whole story. In the process they had deprived the readers of valuable, money saving information. The problem I ran into was that the blog sites didn’t offer a way to comment. Could it be that they don’t want their readers to see comments? Without pointing any fingers, two of the three I visited were on line life insurance big boys Insweb and Accuquote. The other one really drove me nuts, call the life insurance blog. Touted the fact that it was a place to discuss life insurance. Only problem, a one way discussion. No place to comment. I am shaking my head.

Ed,
I agree 100% that having a blog without comments is nuts. The reason we started our AccuQuote blog in the first place was so we could have a better two way dialogue regarding life insurance inssues. We’ve had comments enabled from day 1, and can’t imagine changing it. I love to hear what you think of our blog content.

Thank you for your response. It turned out to be my lack of tech savvy and not your problem. You have a lot of great articles. I look forward to learning from them and sharing my take on the subjects.

I wanted to complement your post, it kept me busy for a few minutes and I really enjoyed it. Especially this sentence: “Without pointing any fingers, two of the three I visited were on line life insurance big boys Insweb and Accuquote.”, - I thought that it was a good one. I had been doing some research on a different subject, and found your site via a quick Google Search. Though I didn’t find what I was looking for (but did find it at: “en.wikipedia.org”), I was entertained by your post. (Which is rare with all the crap out there these days). Off topic, feel free to check out my site if you feel so inclined: Term Insurance, if not, no worries. Regardless, you kept me entertained for a few minutes. Keep up the good posts.
